Hastelloy C22 alloy is a versatile nickel-chromium-molybdenum tungsten alloy that offers better overall corrosion resistance than other existing nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys, including Hastelloy C276, C4 alloys and 625 alloys. Hastelloy C22 alloy has good resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. It has excellent resistance to oxidizing aqueous media, including mixed acids of wet chlorine, nitric acid or oxidizing acids containing chloride ions. Hastelloy C22 alloys are exceptionally resistant to a variety of chemical environments, including strong oxidizing substances such as ferric chloride, cupric chloride, chlorine, hot contaminated solutions (organic and inorganic), formic acid, acetic acid, acetic anhydride, seawater and Salt solution and so on. The Hastelloy C22 alloy has the ability to resist the formation of grain boundaries in the heat affected zone of the weld so that it can also be used in a wide variety of chemical processes in the welded state.
Medium / thin board
Hastelloy C22 alloy for a variety of chemical processes containing oxidation and reduction media industry. Higher molybdenum, chromium content of the alloy can be resistant to chloride ion erosion, tungsten elements also further improve its corrosion resistance. Hastelloy C22 is one of the few materials that is resistant to moisture chlorine, hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide solutions that have significant corrosion resistance to high concentrations of chloride salts (such as ferric chloride and Copper chloride).
